Global Agro Innovation (HK) Ltd inks MoA with UTM and Technology Licensing in the field of Plant Animal and Microbiome.
JOHOR BAHRU, Sept 6 – Global Agro Innovation (HK) Ltd is extend its core in sustainable agriculture innovation and agrogreen farming with the signing of a memorandum of agreement (MoA) with Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).
The memorandum was signed by UTM Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Datuk Ts. Dr. Ahmad Fauzi bin Ismail and CEO of Global Agro Innovation (HK) Ltd, Dr Ting Seng Ho. The collaboration was to produce biomass production of isolated rhizosphere microbes in semi-industrial scale for one year with the project value RM40,000. The project is carried out by a team researcher at Institute of Bioproduct Development led by its Director, Prof. Dr Hesham Ali El-Enshasy. This project is intended to develop a sustainable and novel microbial based biofertilizer for human wellness. Another project with the value of RM10,000 was also signed today for the development of probiotic based product in animal feed application.
Conjunction to the event, the technology transfer agreement was officially licensed to GAI involving a licensing fee of RM10,000. This technology involved the formulation trace elements based plant nutrients supplemented with probiotics and plant growth hormones, which has been developed by the same group.
At the end of the event, UTM received the endowment cheque, RM5,000 from Global Agro Innovation (HK) Ltd. Also attending the ceremonies were the Chairman of Research Alliance (Health & Wellness), Prof. Dr. Rosli Md Illias. Mr. Maddiah Abd Razak, Director Global Agro Innovation (HK) Ltd and representatives from IBD UTM.
