FChE International Collaboration

In recent years, we saw an increased in collaboration between FChE academicians and international community in various science and engineering projects. Such smart partnership has infused great ideas in our project developments. We continue to engage international community and outsourcing our expertise in order to be connected world wide and maintain our competetive edge.

Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)

Department of Bioprocess Engineering, FChE and Prince of Songkla University, Thailand

Department of Bioprocess Engineering, FChE have a good and long relationship with Prince of Songkla University, Suratthani Campus, Thailand. A MOU was signed between these two departments in 2008 which enable both departments to send their students (undergraduates and postgraduates) to undergo a short research stay (or industrial training) abroad in FChE and PSU. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Firdausi Razali of FChE was the responsible figure to initiate these fruitful colaboration. To date, nearly 30-35 students from both FChE and PSU have underwent industrial training and/or short research stay in PSU and FChE, respectively. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ida Idayu of Deparment of Bioprocess Engineering has also engaged Mr Wancai of PSU to discuss potential collaboration about food engineering projects. Discussions are currently undergoing to discuss about the potential for staff exchange and postdoctoral positions in both universities.

RA BioTech & Department of Bioprocess Engineering, FChE and Dongguk University, Korea

A MOU was signed between the RA BioTech and Department of Bioprocess Engineering with Dongguk Univeristy, Korea. Staff involves include Prof. Dr. Md Roji Sarmidi, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Azila Abd Aziz, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fadzilah Adibah Abdul Majid. Besides an invitation to deliver lecture in a academic symposum organize by the Centre of Advance Colloidal Materials (CACOM), Dongguk University; the MOU provides opportunities for FChE staff to join Dongguk University as visiting professors, collobarate in research projects as well as involvement as co-supervisor in PhD projects.
