Industrial Training FAQ

Are you eligible to do industrial training ?

Students should have completed three (3) years of study with a minimum credit gain of 90 and CGPA > 2.00

When is the industrial training ?

The industrial training will be conducted during the summer break (short semester)

Where can I do my industrial training ?

Students can do their industrial training at any government and private sector that is related to the program (chemical/ petroleum/ bioprocess/ gas/ nuclear engineering). Students are encouraged to find placement outside UTM unless approved by the dean of the faculty.

How to apply my industrial training placement ?

There are various mediums you can use to secure your placement such as email, post, website, LinkedIn, walk-in, etc. Please prepare related documents for the application which are a cover letter, resume, supporting letter from the school, and reply form (apply thru ITS).

My company that I want to apply but is not listed in the Industrial Training System (ITS)

For this case, students have to fill up and forward the Application of Potential Company for Industrial Training Form (provided in the resources tab) to your industrial training coordinator.
