It is indeed a very momentous and historical epic for the Faculty of Chemical & Energy Engineering (FCEE). All the pain and hard works have been paid off. This resembles the excellence of FCEE. The 18th Industrial Art & Technology Exhibition (INATEX 2006) just ended today and has shown that FCEE has all the fire power to emerge as the best faculty in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. FCEE won all the top awards and majority of the other gold, silver and bronze medal.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd Azizi Che Yunus won the Best of the Best Award in Inatex 2016, bagging RM100,000.
INATEX is one of the University’s program in Research and Development organised by Research Management Center (RMC). INATEX is an R&D exhibition that showcases UTM inventions and inovations. INATEX also acts as a competition for products develop by UTM researchers. The purpose of INATEX is to promote the research findings or products to the public by exhibiting the creative inventions and innovative products from UTM researchers. INATEX is also is a platform for UTM researchers to commercialize their research results at a higher level and to form a global network of intellectual partners together with industry. Therefore, researchers should always equip themselves with knowledge and skill and be familiar with the technology and new discoveries in the field of their expertise.

Following are the FULL RESULTS of the winners of INATEX 2016. The top 3 big winners came from FCEE. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd Azizi Che Yunus won the Best of the Best Award and Gold Medal, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd Hafiz Dzarfan Othman won Best Invention Award and 3 Gold Medals, whereas Dr. Goh Pei Sean won the Vice Chancellor Special Award and Gold Medal.
