On 13th November 2016, 43 form Four students from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Tun Ismail, Parit Raja, Batu Pahat came to visit FCEE with their three teachers and four alumni. One of the alumni that come with them is also the alumni of FCEE. They arrived around 9.30 am at N11A Building.
The intention of their visit mainly is for them to get motivated to enter university especially UTM. At the same time, the visit also gives them an opportunity to understand life in university plus knowing FCEE program offered.

- Welcome Speech by Mr Mohd Fauzi Abd Rahman
FCEE Deputy Registrar, Mr Mohd Fauzi Abd Rahman gave a welcome speech at the Lecture Hall 2 and at the same time briefed about FCEE and UTM. The students then were given some tour to FCEE’s laboratory in this visit. Four labs involved; Unit Operation Lab 1 and 2, Control Lab and Polymer Engineering Lab. Some input and learning exposure of the chemical separation process and polymer engineering process was conducted by Dr Mazura and Dr Lai. It is expected that this visit will open their minds and broaden their knowledge.
After a short break for lunch and Zohor prayer, they went to IBD. Here the students were brief by the IBD researchers and later went to visit the facilities and researches done by IBD.
This educational visit was ended with the photograph session in front of the foyer of the faculty.
