Working with a select number of partner countries, the primary objective of the Royal Academy of Engineering’s Leaders in Innovation Fellowships (LIFF) programme is to build the capacity of researchers for entrepreneurship and commercialization of their research. More broadly, the programme creates international networks of innovators and technology entrepreneurs.
It is with greatest honor that we would like to congratulate our very Prof Madya Dr Siti Hamidah Mohd Setapar from CLEAR that has been selected to participate in the Leaders in Innovation Fellowships of Royal Academy of Engineering’s Leader .
The programme is aimed at researchers within the partner country who are in the process of developing a business proposition for their innovation. A select cohort of researchers from that country will benefit from a focused period of training in the UK, access to expert mentors, and opportunities for international networking. In the short term they will develop, with the support of the programme, a commercialisation plan for their innovation. In the long term they will benefit from on-going support at their home institution, and access to an international network of peer innovators and mentors, in taking their commercialisation plan forward.
The Leaders in Innovation Fellowship programme is being delivered by the Academy as part of the UK Newton Fund which, through a variety of science and innovation activities, supports the economic development and social welfare of developing countries.
This program will commence from 13 until 24 February 2017 at London. All expenses and logistics are funded from the program itself. We are truly proud of Dr. Siti Hamidah for her success. Congratulations from all of us at FCEE.
