With increasing awareness in food and biomaterials issues globally, Food and Biomaterial Engineering Research Group, also known as FoBERG, is developed under the Faculty of Chemical Engineering,Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Skudai, Johor.
This dynamic research group was founded by PM Dr. Ida Idayu Muhammad, a lecturer in the Department of Bioprocess Engineering, with the support of academic and technical staffs and also postgraduates students. We are actively involved in researches of food processing, food technology and quality, food ingredients, biopolymers, biocomposite materials, bionanotechnology and products development.
With the goal to be the frontier in food and biomaterials areas, we strive in providing excellent facilities, consultancies and services to the students, institutions and industries. In achieving our goal, we have participated in various exhibitions, conferences and other activities and our products have been awarded and recognised at national and international levels
